A large number of eminent writers, actors and performers are ready to be the part of federal capital’s much-awaited 21st Children’s Literature Festival from October 1 to 3 this year.
“Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and Oxford University Press (OUP) in collaboration with Open Society Foundations and Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage) believe that the festival this year will bring smiles on the faces of not only our kids, but parents, teachers and public of twin cities”, said CLF Programme Manager Maham Ali while addressing the CLF launching press conference at Lok Virsa here Tuesday. She was accompanied by Lok Virsa Director Dr. Fauzia Saeed and Nargis Sultana of Open Society Foundations.
The 21st Children’s Literature Festival will be held along with the 5th Teachers’ Literature Festival. The three-day literature celebrations will start on October 1 by dedicating the first day to the teachers literature festival in which specially designed programmes, sessions, workshops and performances for teachers will be hosted. During the following two days, children from twin cities will be enjoying not only literature but culture, drama, puppet shows, story-telling sessions and many more interesting activities, Maham Ali said. The CLF this year is being held in collaboration with the Oxford University Press and Lok Virsa.
