The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) has become pioneer in awarding Pakistan’s first MPhil degree in Hindi, says a press release.
Ms. Shahin Zafar, a student of Hindi language, is the first-ever student of any Pakistani university who succeeded in getting an MPhil degree in Hindi. Her thesis titled ‘Swatantryottra Hindi Upanyason Mein Nasri Chittran (1947-2000)’ was supervised by Professor Iftikhar Husain Arif (Professor Emeritus NUML) as endorsed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
In view of dearth of experts of Hindi language in Pakistan, her MPhil thesis was evaluated by two experts from
the Aligarh Muslim Univer-
sity, India.
