The parents of students who passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-II Annual Examination 2015 under the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) have demanded of the minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) and management of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) to extend the date for college admissions.
The FDE management had fixed July 24 as the last date for submission of admission forms in male and female colleges of the federal capital, whereas there would be official Eid holidays from July 17 to 23.
A large number of government employees had sent their families to native towns. Therefore, they are finding it difficult to complete formalities required for submission of admission forms.
Moreover, the duration to receive and submit admission forms at colleges has been fixed from 9 a.m. to 12 noon due to the month of fasting.
Parents feel that there should be extension in last date for submission of admission forms till July 31. “It is very difficult to first collect admission forms from colleges and then submit those along with required documents in Ramazan,” said the father of a student who came to Islamabad Model College for Boys, F-8/4.
