Rs1.15 billion Rawal Town budget announced

Rawalpindi: The Rawal Town presented Rs1.150 billion tax-free budget for fiscal year 2015-16 here on Thursday. The annual budget was approved by Rawal Town (Administrator) Imran Qureshi.
An amount of Rs704.96 million has been allocated for development works and Rs365.87 million for non-development expenditures.
The Rawal Town administration has allocated Rs12 million for youth activities. The concerned authority also allocated Rs300 million for construction of roads, streetlights and other construction works. It allocated Rs20 million for repair and maintenance of official vehicles, machinery etc. Similarly, Rs3 million has been allocated for maintenance of municipal residences and offices while Rs23 million for construction of employees residences. Rawal Town (Administrator) Imran Qureshi said that we would do a lot for the development of city areas including roads and streetlights. We have also plan to do a lot for the welfare of workers of Town Municipal Administration (TMO), Rawalpindi.
