As part of its tradition and commitment to focus and celebrate the diverse cultural spectrum of Pakistan, a ‘Culture Day’ was celebrated at the Sultana Foundation, says a press release.
The Primary School of the Foundation organised the event, as part of its co-curricular activities.
The objective of the event was to create awareness among students with cultures of provinces of Pakistan. Keeping in view the objectives, the different events of the show were full of information about Pakistani culture. A large number of visitors witnessed the show and appreciated the endeavor of the school.
The event showcased different aspects of culture of all the provinces of Pakistan including Northern Areas, Gilgit, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Different culture corners were carefully and artistically established in the event, which represented the respective cultures of different provinces.
The programme included cuisine of each province, students adorning dresses of different provinces, especially the home environment was represented in which cooking, dresses used by women and men at home. Even the plants, fruits, flowers, mountains and landscape of respective areas were presented in interesting way.
The extra information and facts about Pakistan’s provinces was provided in written form and was displayed on the walls about each province. The students were excited and enjoyed the event. It was all a show of festivity and looked like real-life celebration. Food stalls of different provinces were arranged for visitors where they enjoyed much, knowing and tasty food. All staff from different institutions of Sultana Foundation with students visited the event and enjoyed it.
Sultana Foundation Academics Vice Chairman Aziz Ghani, attended the programme with staff and appreciated the efforts of Principal Ghazala Sarwar and other staff for arranging such an informative event.
