RTDC, Turkmenistan & Kyrgyzstan to promote tourism

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan to initiate efforts for promotion of tourism activities in each other countries.
This was revealed by PTDC Managing Director Ch Kabir Ahmed while talking to ‘The News’ here Tuesday. The managing director also viewed on various subjects related to tourism and its promotion with particular reference to measures being adopted under the directions of Prime Minister of Pakistan in this regard.
Kabir Ahmed said that during his visits to Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan recently, he met his counter parts and discussed matters related to promoting tourism activities in each other countries.
During this period, he discussed the subject with the authorities of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan under which they would strive for promoting tourism in Pakistan. Meeting of Tourists Operators would be convened between the three countries.
Similarly, replying to a question about the assurance given by the Punjab chief minister for providing tourist activity site to PTDC in Murree, the managing director said that according to directions of Shahbaz Sharif, a site has been surveyed and selected at Chahran to get occupation of Rest House, which is abandoned after earthquake in 2005. Request to get lease of this Rest House would be forwarded to the chief minister for his approval.
