Managing Director Pakistan Bait ul Mal (PBM) Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh on Sunday said that the PBM will provide free bone marrow treatment to thalassaemia affected children in different hospitals of the country.
The PBM through its National Thalassaemia Centre will bear all expenses of such treatment of those thalassaemia children throughout the country who could be completely curable through bone marrow treatment. He said that PBM will also launch countrywide awareness campaign to educate people about causes and prevention of thalassaemia disease, the MD PBM said while talking to APP on Sunday.
He said that PBM will set up state of the art new thalassaemia centres in major cities of the country to provide medical assistance to needy and deserving patients. These centres to be established in other cities would be helpful for the children suffering from thalassaemia as they needed continued special medical care.
