As many as 50 students from various educational institutions of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad showed their hidden talent in a three day drama workshop at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
Drama actor and programme organiser, Dr Waqar Azeem conducted the workshop arranged by Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage and introduced the participants with basic and advanced techniques of dialogue delivery on stage.
The workshop was part of talent discovery project that was initiated for Talent Bank of PNCA in which a large number of students and youth participate on regular basis and the participants are also given opportunity to perform in various programmes at a platform of national level.
Organisers of workshop told APP that basic idea behind this programme was to utilize the energy of youth at a level of exploration with a proper platform for supporting their inner abilities. Youngsters selected from various workshops under the talent hunt are also given chance to perform in the field of performing arts.
The programme is an attempt to explore hidden talent of children, students, youngsters and local artists for promoting and preserving the rich culture of the country as well as to refine the talent of students, the organizers said.
From singing to compering, drama acting and dancing, various workshops and training courses have been organised by the PNCA under this programme for children and youngsters to express themselves with some techniques that help build their personalities and entertain the audience.
