Islamabad: The ceremony of Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-II was conducted by the Bahria University, Islamabad, with the collaboration of HEC here on Wednesday.
The scheme has been initiated by the Government of Pakistan to help enhance the access to information technology. The laptops are being awarded to students studying in public sector higher education institutes across the country as part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme for FY 2013-14. The prime minister believes that this scheme is a way to help young people who have skills, education and passion but lack resources. The scheme will help youth to grow and materialise their dreams in order to create a better Pakistan.
MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry was the chief guest at the ceremony. Addressing students, he said that it was their duty now to use laptops for the desired reason and utilise their skills and help Pakistan prosper in every field.
