The Headstart School students stood out among participants of the English linguistic competition organised by the Kangourou sans Frontières lately.
In all, they bagged 32 gold medals and one bronze medal in the ‘International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest’ in which schoolchildren from across the country participated.
Gold, silver and bronze medals went to the best performers at the country, division and school levels respectively.
Among Headstart School students, who bagged gold medals, are Amna Mirza, Anum Khan, Fatimatuz Zahra, Fizzah Fatima Haad, Ghaniya Zehra Abbas, Haniya Noor Zafar, Isha Rehan, Ismail Faisal, Jawad Shahid Randhawa, Lujaine Hayat, Mohammad Yahya, Momina Rabbani, Muhammad Ibrahim Bhatti, Muhammad Rayan, Saad Moazzam, Syed Irtiza Hussain, Syed Muhammad Ahsan, Syeda Nida Fatima and Syeda Raiha Xehra of third grade, Aariz Sardar, Alisha Ahmad Qureshi, Muhammad Ayyan Asad, Zahra Asim, Zahra Haq, Zahra Kemal Khan, Zarar Jamshed and Zaynah Zahid of fourth grade, Saad Khan of sixth grade, Ozair Ahmad Qureshi and Sara Kazmi Naqvi of seventh grade and Arifeen Iqbal and Seyreen Faisal of eighth grade.
Arshiya Shirin Husain of fifth grade won a bronze medal.
According to Headstart School, F-10 Branch, Principal Naira Hammad, the school is proud of the wonderful achievement of its students and recognises the efforts and hard work of the best performers in the contest and their teachers, who worked closely with parents in getting the nationwide success.
“Such success has become a hallmark of the Headstart School. We are very proud of our students, who time and again add to our long
legacy. We wish them all the best in future endeavours,” she said.
The International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest was initiated and organised first time in Romania. It was later taken to Italy and then in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Pakistan.
