The number of visitors at recreational places is increasing day by day mainly due to changing weather conditions and vacations after final examinations in the schools.
“The weather is turning pleasant due to which the residents of the city are consistently visiting the recreational spots especially Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh and Pir Sohawa,” said a CDA official who monitors level of cleanliness at the picnic spots.
Scores of people are seen visiting the spots including men, women and children as the school vacations and pleasant weather provide a perfect opportunity to them to have some funny and nice time on lavish green ground.
Naeem Hashmi, a resident of Sector F-10, said he visited Lake View Park for the first time after the winter season and his family and children spent some good time while enjoying barbecue prepared in Lake View Park.
“I think the local administration should monitor the prices at public stalls because the stall holders charge extra prices and the visitors have no other choice but to accept their demand,” he said. The eateries and restaurants at Pir Sohawa have also started receiving some extra customers due to outstanding weather conditions and the trend is likely to increase in the coming days as it was quite hard for residents to go there in the winter season.
Noshaba Malik, a resident of Rawalpindi, said it was always a nice experience to have lunch at Pir Sohawa because natural environment and green cover provide a scenic view while enjoying meals at the restaurants.
