The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has begun legal action against sellers of solved assignments to its students.
According to the AIOU registrar, it has come to the management’s knowledge that some private educational institutions and organisations are using fake website names, which closely relate to the AIOU official website.
“These educational institutions and organisations are cheating students by receiving heavy amount of money for solved assignments, so-called consultation for admission and involvement in other unethical and unlawful act,” he said.
The registrar said among such educational institutions and organisations were International All Education Open University, Iqbalian Academy and Jidran Book House in Lahore, Zaim Educational Foundation in Wah, Unique Academy, Wajih Academy and Nishat College in Islamabad, Farooqi Educational Academy and Niaz Tailor in Uch Sharif area of Bahawalpur, Siddique Academy in Mitro area of Vehari, and Ali Sons Educational Publisher in Faisalabad.
