Islamabad: A three-member team of KRL Hiking and Mountaineering Club successfully completed the Biafo-Hispar glaciers trek via Snow Lake and Hispar La (Pass).

Hispar La is located at a height of 5151m above sea level. Most geographers consider Biafo and Hispar glaciers as one which makes it the second largest glacier in the world measuring 120 km.

Team leader by Qazi Iqbal Ahmed along with his team members Khawar Hussain and Kamal Mazhar Khan completed this grade E trek in eight days with just two porters. The team camped at the top of Hispar La on 24.08.13. This whole trek is surrounded by twelve 7000m peaks and beautiful wildlife.
