Former additional director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Shaukat Ali Khan, apparently, committed suicide, blowing his head with small machine gun (SMG), in the bathroom of his house in Sector E-11, Monday before noon, police said.
Shaukat Ali Khan was real brother of former principal secretary to president Farooq Laghari and former chief commissioner Islamabad, Shamsher Ali Khan. The police have taken the SMG in their custody after shifting his dead body to the hospital for post mortem.
Shaukat Ali Khan, belonging to the First Common of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), was living in House No. 20, Street 52, E-11, after his retirement from service, along with his family comprising wife, two sons and two daughters.

A police officer, engaged in the investigation of the case said that he shot in his head from the left side of his temple causing his death on-the-spot. The officer said that the bullet of the SMG crossed through his head and passed through exhaust window of the bathroom and hit a windowpane of the neighbouring house.
