Three passengers were killed on Thursday evening while 15 injured critically when a passenger van, coming to Rawalpindi from Murree, fell into a ravine near 22-Mile, ‘Rescue-1122’ said.

 

A Toyota Hiace, with 18 passengers on board, was coming to Rawalpindi when it fell down due to overspeeding at a sharp turn, sources said adding that three persons died on the spot while the remaining 15 were shifted to the PIMS. Five among them are in critical condition.

 

42 suspects held in search operation: The Sabzi Mandi Police Thursday arrested 42 suspects during a search operation in various localities, including Sector I-11 and slums, the police spokesman said.

 

Police teams, including Sabzi Mandi Police Station SHO Asjid Mehmood, conducted checking of houses, under-construction buildings, inns and slums. Police apprehended 42 suspects and investigation is under way from them, as they could not produce any authentic document for their identification.
