Rawalpindi: Special Central Judge (Rawalpindi) Khalid Shabbir here on Friday issued a notice to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) directing it to bring full record of the Haj corruption case on August 16.

The court issued the notice to the FIA as former federal minister for religious affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi filed an application for bail and former director general (Haj) Rao Shakil filed an application for de-freezing his accounts.

Former religious minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi filed a bail petition in which he said that the FIA arrested him on March 15, 2011. “I was in jail without any evidence,” he stated in the application. The FIA had frozen three bank accounts of former director general (Haj) Rao Shakil for his alleged role in the Haj corruption case.
