Islamabad: An evening of classical music with Ustad Sultan Fateh Ali and his students enthralled the fun lovers of the federal capital at Kuch Khaas, Center for Arts, Culture and Dialogue.
The show entertained audience with classical and semi- classical singing by Ustad Sultan Fateh Ali of the Patiala Gharana, accompanied by a group of his students. The musical night was arranged with the theme of “Tribute to Old Pakistani Favorites” to pay tribute to the golden era of Pakistani film songs, songwriters and singers.
Sultan Fateh Ali Khan and his students presented an eclectic mix of raags, light songs and traditional folk music. With two performances each, singers presented songs of some heavy-weights like Mehdi Hassan, Musarrat Nazir, Saleem Raza, Mala, Naseem Begum, Attaullah Essa Khel, Tahira Syed, Noor, and some others.
