Rawalpindi: School children below the age of five years enthralled the audience with their enchanting and impressive presentations at Rawalpindi Arts Council during annual day function of SS Montessori School, held here Friday.

 

The little angels performed on stories and presented tableaux on various social and cultural issues, highlighting love for nation and country and desire to study and acquire knowledge to lead the country towards sustainable progress.

 

Children from playgroup to KG, aging from 3.5 years to 5 years participated in the stage performances to express their talent and abilities during this colourful annual event.

 

They also enthralled the audience with their outstanding performances on tunes of national songs and poems.

 

Earlier, the function started with the recitation of the Holy Quran verses by students with its translation in English and Urdu. On the occasion, the school management also distributed prizes among the top qualifying playgroup children of the school.

 

Although the result of the school is to be announced on 31 March 2011, however, the top position holder students were presented certificates and prizes during the annual day celebrations.

 

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, renowned educationist, Sajid Hussain Awan said that enabling children with quality education was the imperative need of the current world keeping in view the fast changing developments and trends.

 

Speaking on the occasion, SS Montessori Director Dr. Shoaib Bin Naeem paid rich tributes to teachers, saying that they have been responsible for leading the country towards progress and prosperity.

 

SS Montessori Principal Saima Shoaib presented a brief report of the school. In the end, the chief guest gave students certificates and shields.
