PU to organise walk, seminars on Dhaka Fall, APS attack

Punjab University (PU) will organise a walk, seminars and other co-curricular activities in connection with the Dhaka Fall and brutal attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar this month.
According to a press release, this was decided in a meeting of the heads of all departments presided over by PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran at the Al Raazi Hall on Friday. The meeting decided to organise a big rally to express solidarity with the victims of Army Public School and observe a one-minute silence on the campuses. Seminars and various co-curricular activities will also be organised in connection with the Dhaka Fall and APS attack. The dates would be announced soon.
Transfers, postings: The Punjab government has issued a notification of transfer and posting of officers on Friday.
According to the notification Mudassar Raza Malik (awaiting posting) has been posted as Additional Secretary P&D, Ahmed Kamal Maan as Deputy Secretary Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, Assistant Commissioner Vehari Kamran Khan as Deputy Director Planning (PMU) Education Sector Reforms Programme vice Arshad Manzoor who has been made Officer on Special Duty, Capt (retd) Khahuta Bilal Hashim as Deputy Secretary Home Department and Assistant Commissioner Kharian Afshan Rabab as Deputy Secretary Industries, Commerce & Investment.
Meanwhile, orders of transferring Deputy Secretary Protocol Awais Nawaz and Deputy Secretary Higher Education Khalid Bashir and posting them as Deputy Secretary Governor House and Deputy Secretary Local Government respectively have been withdrawn.
