Fake travel agent arrested

Anti-human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA Lahore raided alleged fake travel agency
located at Qartaba Chowk on Friday.
According to the FIA officials, accused Muhammad Imran (owner) was arrested from the spot and documents, including nine passports, 70 job offer letters of Gulf countries and 80 CVs for foreign employment were recovered from his possession. FIA has registered a case against the accused person and investigations are underway. In another raid, a team of FIA Lahore comprising Inspectors Nasir Awan, Abdul Qayyum and Ashiq ASI raided a plastic moulding factory at Fazal Park, Shahdara and caught electricity theft through reversal of meter, dead stop two phases and pending units of electricity meter. Similarly, a case against consumer Zahid Manzoor and a Lesco employee has been registered and efforts were underway to arrest the accused persons.
beggars held: The CTO Lahore has directed the officers and officials to take strict action against the beggars around traffic signals. He said the traffic police had arrested 362 beggars since the crackdown was launched against beggars.
Out of total 362 beggars, 270 women and children had been handed over to the Child Protection Bureau. The traffic police got registered 92 cases against professional beggars at various police stations.
Meanwhile, the traffic officials were warned by the CTO that they themselves would be responsible for timely maintenance and service of their official vehicles. He also checked 31 bikes being used by the Vigilance Cell at the CTO office.
thieves arrested: The defence investigation police arrested two underage thieves and recovered valuables from their possession. This was disclosed by SP Cantt Investigation while addressing a press conference on Friday.
He said arrested thieves Abbas and Faisal were involved in 15 crimes they had committed in various parts of the city. SP said Abbas’s father Ajmal had already been killed in a police encounter in Shor Kot. He said accused Abbas had been committing thefts to fulfil the demands of her lover.
found dead: A 45-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Bhatti Gate police limits on Friday. A passerby informed police about a man lying unconscious. Police reached the incident place on information. They shifted the victim to hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.Police told that the victim looked like a drug-addict and might have died due to excessive use of drugs. Police have removed the body to morgue.
thief gang: Harbanspura police arrested two members of a women thief gang involved in many theft incidents in different cities on Friday.The accused persons used to work at houses as maids. After sometime, they took away valuables on finding an opportunity and fled the scene. In many cases, they tied the house owners with ropes and fled with loot. They have been identified as Farzana alias Fauzia alias Fauzo (ringleader) and Fazeelat alias Sonia, both residents of Sakhoki Mandi, District Hafizabad. They have confessed of committing crimes in Harbanspura, Sattokatla, Sabzazar, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Muslim Town, Ghaziabad, Jalalpur Bhattian, City Pindi Bhattian, District Hafizabad and Rawalpindi.
