The Lahore High Court on Wednesday maintained status quo of a vacant piece of land adjacent to Janki Devi Hospital Jamiat Singh Maternity Hospital, run by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
The board had filed a petition challenging ‘illegal occupation’ of the land by police. The board’s counsel argued that the land in question was an evacuee property. He said the city police had been using the land illegally. He said camps were installed by the police on the land and hospital staff especially women were facing a great hazard. —Correspondent
