CS opens E-Khidmat Centre

Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal inaugurated the E-Khidmat Centre at the Jinnah Town Hall on Thursday. He visited different sections of the centres and asked about the facilities being provided there.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief secretary said the Punjab government was resolving problems of the citizens and providing facilities for them through use of modern technology, which was yielding positive results. The chief secretary also lauded the efforts of PITB Chairman Dr Umer Saif and his team for the promotion of Information Technology in the province.
Giving briefing, Dr Umer Saif said that so far 17,000 applications had been received at the first E-Khidmat Centre set up in Rawalpindi. Of these applications, work on 96 percent has been completed while the remaining is in process. He said the issuance of driving licence, domicile, death, birth certificates, registration of property and payment of property tax and other services are being provided to these centres under one roof.
