CM orders effective steps to control dengue

LAHORE Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed that effective measures should be taken for controlling dengue and the plan evolved for this purpose should be implemented at any cost. He warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard and all departments and administrations concerned should perform their duties

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed that effective measures should be taken for controlling dengue and the plan evolved for this purpose should be implemented at any cost.
He warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard and all departments and administrations concerned should perform their duties efficiently for controlling dengue and best treatment facilities be provided to the affected persons. He directed the Cabinet Committee on Anti-Dengue to visit Rawalpindi to review the situation and take immediate steps to curb this menace.
notice: Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the news regarding non-availability of petrol in some cities of Punjab and ordered that provision of petroleum products on new rates should be ensured and Cabinet Committee on Price Control, provincial administration, commissioners and DCOs should take necessary steps in this regard so that people could not face any difficulty. He said there should be no complaint of non-availability of petrol or diesel and it was the responsibility of the authorities concerned to ensure provision of petrol on fixed rates to the citizens. He said that immediate action should be taken over non-availability of petrol or diesel as well as against the owners of the petrol pumps involved in overcharging.
youth: Shahbaz Sharif has said that youths are a precious national asset and the goal of progress and prosperity of the country can be achieved through their empowerment.He said the Punjab government had allocated billions of rupees in 2015-16 fiscal year budget for youth empowerment. He said a target had been fixed to impart various skills to two million youths according to the market needs during next three years and a big programme had been evolved for technical training to enable youths benefit from job opportunities in country and abroad. He said thousands of youths had been imparted technical training under Skills Development Programme and the scope of this splendid programme was being extended to all districts of the province. He said skilled manpower played a key role in strengthening economy; therefore, special attention was being paid to produce skilled workforce to meet the market needs.
Talking to a PML-N Youth Wing delegation in London on Tuesday, the chief minister said the PML-N government was implementing a revolutionary programme in the light of its manifesto for the welfare and betterment of youths. He said lakhs of job opportunities were being created for unemployed youths. He said 50,000 vehicles were being distributed among the youths in a transparent manner under Self-Employment Scheme worth Rs31 billion. He said the Punjab government had already distributed laptops worth billions of rupees purely on merit among the youths. He said Rs2 billion had been allocated for Youth Internship programme while Rs2 billion reserved for Self-Employment Scheme.
