More than 44,000 candidates appeared in the combined entrance test on Sunday for admission to engineering institutions of Punjab against 6,000 seats of BSc Engineering and BS Technology.
The test conducted by the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore was simultaneously held at UET Main Campus, G T Road, Lahore, UET, Kala Shah Kaku Campus, UET, Taxila, International Islamic University, Islamabad, College of Engineering & Technology, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology, Khanewal Road, Multan College of Engineering, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Government College of Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, NFC Institute of Engineering and Fertilizer Research, Faisalabad, University of Gujrat, Gujrat, Government College of Technology, Rasul, Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Technology, Mianwali.
UET Lahore Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid visited different centres and talked to media persons. He said that they were increasing 100 more seats this year. Moreover he proposed to the Federal HEC and Punjab HEC for the centralisation of the test. The result will be announced on August 28.
