The Al Khidmat Foundation (AKF), Pakistan, has motivated NGOs to observe ‘Orphans Day’ on 15th of Ramazanul Mubarak every year.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of 13-member coordination committee of NGOs.
The meeting chaired by AKF Pakistan President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor was attended by heads and representatives of Tameer-e-Millat Foundation, Anjuman Faizul Islam Trust, Ghazali Education Trust, Helping Hand for Relief, Muslim Hands, Muslim Aids, Edhi Homes and others.
The participants decided to form an Orphans Care Forum of which the AKF president was elected as convener.
