Theses show at PU College of Art

LAHORE
Punjab University College of Art and Design (CAD) organised a thesis show of MFA Visual Arts Students, under the supervision college principal Prof Dr Shahida Manzoor and Supervisors Atif Ameer, Habib Alam and Dr Sumera Jawad.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, this degree show includes artworks from disciplines of MFA Painting, MFA Sculpture and MFA Graphic Arts. Twenty-six students are showcasing their skill and academic achievements. The show will continue till April 14 whereas the thesis display of the Graphic Design department will be exhibited on April 13 and continue till April 17.
results: Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of MA Arabic Part-I & II supplementary examination 2014, MSc Space Science Part-I & II supplementary examination 2014, MSc Social Work Part-I supplementary examination 2014, MSc Statistics Part-II supplementary examination 2014 and MA Archaeology Part-II supplementary examination 2014.

contests: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged drama, standup comedy and quiz contests as part of the Spring Festival 2015 on Wednesday.
According to a press release, in quiz contest, Mudasser Munir, Muhammad Kashif from Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (IPS) got 1st position, Aadla khalil, Muhammad Tayyab BS (Honours), Institute of Biochemistry, and Biotechnology students 2nd while Bilal Mahmood, Zubair Bhatti from (IPS) students got third position.
In drama contest, Main Baby da Mehram Huqqa (IPS) got 1st position, Hadd Bandi (IPS) got 2nd position while the DVM and Microbiology both team got third position.
In Standup Comedy contest, Zahid Ahmad from IPS won 1st position, Hassan Iqbal from the Environmental Science got 2nd position while Ishaq from the IBBT got 3rd position.
In best production, Hadd Bandi (IPS) in best direction (Microbiology), in best actor Mohsin Basheer, and in best actress Fajar Javaid all categories won 1st position.
Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and Dr Asim Khalid gave away shield to the winner teams and students. Prof Dr Kamran Asraf lauded the performance of all the teams. A large number of students from various departments participated in these contests.
