PAKISTAN’S largest book fair organised by Punjab University (PU) administration has set a new record of the largest sale of books as more than 1,670,000 books were sold during three days of the event.
According to press release issued here on Sunday, on the first day, around 45,000 books and on the second day, around 55,000 books were sold. On the last day, the book fair set a new record as around 67,000 books were sold. Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated all the team members and heads of committees on the landmark success of the book fair. He said the largest sale of books proved that study culture could be promoted in society if appropriate steps were taken and books were provided on low prices.
