Q1: I have done MA Urdu and MA Islamiat but unfortunately these two degrees do not have any scope in foreign countries. Now I am doing Masters in Information Technology; so please guide me what should I do. Should I go for MS in Business Administration or MIT is a good choice. (Atif Riaz - Bhakkar)
Ans: MIT is a good choice and I hope that once you complete your MS you can apply for jobs in UAE but ensure that you gain few years of experience in Pakistan, as they are looking for qualified and experience hands.
Q2: I have done masters in International Relations and currently I am student of LLB, year one but I am very confused about my future. You are requested to guide me to take the right choice as some of my friends have advised me to do CSS but I am unable to take the decision. (Riaz-ud-Din - Khanewal)
Ans: I think you should try to appear or attempt CSS to see how you perform. I am hopeful that International Relations and law knowledge should help you to pass the exam without too much difficulty.
Q3: I am a BTech Mechanical student and want to know what future job opportunities and paths are available for me. (Navira Shahzeb - Norwal)
Ans: Please complete your Mechanical Engineering degree and try to gain a few years of experience. Following this I would suggest you go to for a degree in Technology Management to enhance your career prospects.
Q4: I did FSc (Pre-Engineering) and now I want to do BSC (Math/Economics) after which I want to do CA. Could you please let me know is it possible or not. (Muhammad Faisal - Quetta)
Ans: Both subject combinations are good following your graduation you can search to do MSc in Finance and Economics which will open both career prospects for you in financial institutions or banks.
Q5: My niece is doing Doctor of Physical Therapy from Lahore Medical and Dental College. What is the potential of this field in Pakistan? What she needs to do if she wants to further her education in this area? Does she need to go overseas or there are some institutions in Pakistan which might fulfill her career objectives? My other niece doing Matriculation and she is very good in Math. Is there any institution in Lahore, Pakistan where she can pursue her career in Actuarial Science and what is the scope of this field in Pakistan? (Zaka Qazi - Lahore)
Ans: Your niece has chosen a strong area which has great potential both in Pakistan and abroad. All she needs is to complete her course and gain a few years of practical experience after which she can apply anywhere is the UK, USA or Canada for MSc in Physiotherapy and hopefully she should get some scholarship too.
For your other niece, please contact the colleges in Lahore to find out more about courses in Actuarial Sciences, I doubt if this is a full degree available in Pakistan.
Q6: I have done BSc (Hon) in Electronics from Government College University Lahore, in 2013 and now I am working in marketing sector. Unfortunately that field is not related to my studies but I have chosen this. But after stepping into this professional field I have felt that this is not the right choice. I was planning to start my studies with job so that I can manage my expenditure myself. Please advise me which course should I choose? (Anam Ehsan - Lahore)
Ans: I would suggest that you top-up your BSc (Hon) in Electronics degree with a Masters in Management such as Technology Management or Industrial Management; this will help you to move upward in the management area of the engineering industry.
