A comprehensive campaign against new addiction of Oxygen Shot would be started in educational institutions in the metropolis.
Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, Consultant Anti Drug/Narcotics Campaign stated that our youth and general community are using this new trend of drug addiction Oxygen Shots without knowing its hazards.
Addressing a meeting organized by Youth Council for Anti Narcotics (YOCFAN) at Drug Advisory Training Hub, Allama Iqbal Road, he said mostly Oxygen Shots are available in different restaurants and cafes in posh areas of the city. He said cafes offer all kinds of Oxi Shots for Rs 500 for three minutes duration.
search operation: The Lahore Police Saturday conducted a search operation in the metropolis on the directions of CCPO and DIG Operations and checked 3,945 people under the supervision of SPs, and detained 22 people for not having complete documents.
Police took action against 13 people. DIG (operations) Dr Haider Ashraf said we cannot win this war against terrorism without implementation of National Action Plan. Misuse of loudspeakers should be ended at any cost.
He appealed to the public for complete cooperation with police.
booked: The Lahore Police have arrested 769 people and registered 542 FIRs on violation of Punjab Information of Temporary Residence Ordinance on Saturday.
CCPO Lahore Capt (retd) Ameen Wains and DIG (operations) Dr Haider Ashraf have given clear instructions to all divisional SPs to take strict action against those, who are violating tenant law of 2015.
accidents: About 622 road accidents were reported in Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In the accidents seven lives were lost and 460 seriously injured people were shifted to different hospitals. However, 274 injured were provided with first aid by Rescue 1122 on the spot.
According to data, 262 drivers, 25 underage drivers, 123 pedestrians and 356 passengers were among the injured persons.
The statistics show that 129 accidents were reported in Lahore Control Room, which affected 151 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 66 in Faisalabad with 79 victims and Gujranwala at third position with 42 and 43 victims.
