ATC judges ordered to expedite cases

LAHORE
The Lahore High Court on Saturday directed judges of anti-terrorism courts in Punjab to expedite disposal of cases.
Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, being Administrative Judge of anti-terrorism courts, and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood presided over a meeting to review cases registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, and their disposal.
Justice Malik expressed satisfaction over working of the courts and directed the judges to expedite the cases as per the spirit of law and also required other stakeholders including police to complete investigations and arrest proclaimed offenders.
All judges of anti-terrorism courts of Punjab, Member Inspection Team (MIT) Ch. Shahid Naseer, Additional MIT Muhammad Iram Ayaz, Secretary Home Department, officiating Additional Secretary Prosecutor, Inspector General Prisons, Additional Inspector General (Investigation) Punjab, DIG Crime, Lahore, Director Admin, Punjab Forensic Science Agency and all Regional Police Officers of Punjab attended the meeting.
