ON the direction of CCPO Capt (r) Ameen Wains and DIG Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf, the Lahore police have removed 13 fund collection boxes of different banned organisations from the area of Civil Lines Police Station.
These fund collection boxes were fixed on the main poles of The Mall. There were different names of banned organisations written on the boxes. DIG operations Doctor Haider Ashraf said while talking to media-men that we could not win this war against terrorism without the implementation of the National Action Plan.
We are going to launch a grand operation to remove all these fund collection boxes of different banned organisations in the whole city. He gave clear cut instructions to all the divisional SPs, DSPs and SHOs for the complete removal of these fund collection boxes. He further said these fund collection boxes could be used in any terrorism activity. He appreciated SP Civil Lines Imtiaz Sarwar and SHO Civil Lines Abid Rasheed for this campaign.
accidents: At least 564 road traffic accidents were reported to the Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all the 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which 11 lives were lost and 437 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals of the relevant districts. However, some 219 minor injured were provided first aid by the Rescue 1122 on the spot.
According to data provided by the PMC, 233 drivers, 12 underage drivers, 80 pedestrians and 354 passengers were among the injured persons of these road traffic accidents. The statistics show 117 RTAs were reported to Lahore Control Room, which affected 125 persons placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 65 RTAs in Faisalabad with 82 victims and Gujranwala at third position with 42 RTAs and 44 victims.
Details further show that total 667 persons were affected by road traffic crashes including 554 males and 113 females while age group of the affected persons show that 91 were under 18 yeare of age, 416 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 160 injured people were reported above 40 years.
According to the data, 444 motorbikes, 56 auto rickshaws, 68 motorcars, 25 vans, 11 passenger buses, 23 trucks and 65 other types of auto vehicles and slow moving carts were involved in the aforesaid road traffic accidents.

Baqir was recruited in 21st common of Police Service of Pakistan. He has served in Sindh as ASP and as SP (operations) Model Town, Lahore.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP said launching a crackdown against the criminal elements in the city, maintaining law and order situation and working in coordination with other police officers is his priority. He said the country was suffering from the worst times. He further said that it was the need of the time that they won war against terrorism with the cooperation of citizens.
