CENTRAL leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA has said that Saaf Pani Project is being completed speedily for ensuring supply of potable water to the rural areas of all the districts of the province. He said that 1279 filtration plants would be installed in the province by the end of the current year. He said the DCOs had a key role in timely execution and look after of the project. A control room will be set up at the office of every DCO for effective monitoring of this project, he added.

 

He expressed these view while presiding over a review meeting of the Saaf Pani Project. DCOs of all the concerned districts were present.

 

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that after the preparation of PC-1 of the Saaf Pani Project, 13 world reputed companies had come forward in open bidding and their previous record and capacity was being checked. He said the work was continuing regarding the installation of a total of 1853 filtration plants in the province out of which 1279 filtration plants would be completed by the end of the current year.

 

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that acquiring of proper locations for water filtration plants, removal of impediments and maintenance of filtration plants were important matter and responsibility of supervision of these affairs rested with the DCOs.
