CDA declares NAB HQ building as illegal

ISLAMABAD: The Director Building Control Section of Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared building of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Headquarters as illegal.

The civic body said that it had written a letter to NAB for regularising the building and no attempt was ever made to seal NAB Headquarters despite violation of bylaws.

NAB has not responded the letter yet.

Building Control Section Director Faisal Naeem in his recorded statement during hearing of corruption case of Safa Gold Mall in the accountability court of Islamabad said that NAB had violated building bylaws as the its headquarters was

built in Red Zone. It was stated that the building was constructed by PWD and approval of layout plan of official buildings is mandatory from the CDA.
