A PML-N ticket holder from PP-110, Syed Waqar Hussain Gilani, has announced joining the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) along with all N-League leaders, office-bearers and his colleagues from the constituency.

 

Syed Waqar Hussain Gilani made the announcement while talking to the media along with PML senior central leader and former deputy prime minister, Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi and Rasikh Elahi here on Tuesday.

 

He said that the decision had been taken in consultation with colleagues keeping in view the great appreciable services rendered for whole of Punjab and in particular Gujrat. He said that victory of Ch Pervaiz Elahi from NA-105 against Ahmad Mukhtar on the basis of his meritorious services and of Moonis Elahi on the provincial assembly seat.

 

He said his family members, colleagues and followers would always fully support Ch Shujaat Hussain, Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi. Welcoming Waqar Gilani and his colleagues in the party, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that the present election would be contested on the basis of performance, and the media should also guide the people in this regard.

 

Pervaiz Elahi said that electioneering would pick up tempo after April 18 as the candidates presently were busy in connection with their nomination papers. He said that they had already asked the Election Commission and the caretaker chief minister to hold free and fair election in Punjab. For the purpose, he added, it was necessary that entire bureaucracy should be reshuffled.

 

Replying to a question, he said that accounts of their party were maintained under a regular system and they were audited every year.
