PAKISTAN Medical Association (PMA), Lahore chapter, has condemned the torture by young doctors of senior doctors and Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, Gujranwala.


According to a press release here on Thursday, PMA, Lahore chapter, during its emergency meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Dr Tanveer Anwar and attended by a large number of senior doctors, unanimously adopted a resolution against the physical torture of senior doctors and MS of DHQ Hospital in Gujranwala by the young doctors. The PMA office-bearers observed that this incident was stigma on the medical profession, in particular the doctor community. It is also reiterated that PMA, like always, will continue performing its role for the respect and dignity of senior doctors. A meeting of provincial council of PMA Punjab has been called on Friday (today), at PMA House, Civil Lines, Gujranwala, for future line of action.
