AN additional district and sessions court on Wednesday handed over three minor girls to their mother after getting them recovered from the illegal custody of their father.

Anum Qazi, a resident of Model Town, filed a habeas corpus petition in the court alleging that her husband Irfan Qazi had detained her three daughters; seven-year old Asia, five-year old Qudsia and one-year old Madiha. She stated that she married Irfan eight years ago and had three daughters from this wedlock. She alleged that her husband was skeptic about her character and was a regular drinker. She said that on September 16 her husband came home and started shouting at her and asked her to leave the home but she refused to leave the home. Her refusal enraged Irfan and he started to thrash her and kicked her out of his house and snatched her three daughters. She implored the court for the recovery of her daughters. On her plea, the court had appointed a bailiff. The bailiff raided the house of Irfan and found all three girls from there.

On Wednesday, the bailiff produced the girls before the court and they were handed over to their mother.
