The Punjab University’s Institute of Education and Research (IER) has received first tranche of research grant for teachers’ resource capacity building under the USAID Teachers Education Project.

 

According to a press release issued here, in this regard, a ceremony was held at Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room where USAID Regional Director Syed Nadeem Ahmed called on Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran here on Friday morning. The PU IER Director Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar, Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry and Ubaidullah also attended the meeting.

 

The meeting was informed that Rs 1.5million research project would also aim at finding out teachers’ beliefs and practices in ADBA donors programme. Later, the USAID regional director presented a cheque of the first installment to the PU VC.
