LAHORE

A CONTEMPT of court petition has been moved in the Lahore High Court against the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Kurshid Shah, Secretary Ch Muhammad Azam Samma and others for defying LHC earlier order.

A private Haj tour operator has moved the petition through Muhammad Azhar Siddique advocate, saying that the LHC on June 6 had directed the ministry to award quota of 5,000 pilgrims to new tour operators but the ministry with the connivance of old tour operators had decided not to allocate quota to new operators.
