A newlywed girl was murdered by unidentified persons in the Naulakha police limits on Monday.

 

Police said that 18-year-old Tahira Jabeen, who got married just three month back, was travelling with her brother on a bike when some unidentified persons opened firing on them, killing Tahira on the spot. Police shifted the body to morgue.

 

Girl kidnapped: A young girl was kidnapped from Shahdara police limits on Monday. It was learnt that Iqra, daughter of Muhammad Asif, a resident of Jea Musa, was allegedly abducted by some unidentified persons. Police have registered a case against unidentified persons.

 

Gang busted: CIA Police Model Town Division busted Billa gang and arrested its seven members, including its chief, recovering Rs92,000, two motorcycles and four mobile phones on Monday.

 

A handout said that SP CIA Muhammad Verik had constituted a team which conducted a raid and arrested seven members of the gang. Police said the arrested accused confessed to 11 robbery and theft incidents in Ghalib Market, Gulberg, Naseerabad, Faisal Town, Sattokatla, Model Town and Kahna Police precincts. The arrested accused are identified as Muhammad Ahmad alian Billa, head of the gang, Muhammad Imran alias Kashi, Muhammad Farooq alias Farooqi, Asim alias Taisa, Ahmad Suhail alias Suhailo, Muhammad Qasim and Nazim Hussain.

 

Four bodies found: Four unidentified bodies were found in different areas of the City on Monday.A 40-year-old man was lying unconscious in Nawakot, Yateem Khana. Passers-by rushed him to a hospital where he died. Police said the deceased had died of eating some poisonous thing.

 

A 38-year-old unidentified man was found dead on Peco Road, Liaqatabad. A 35-year-old unidentified man was found dead in Pan Mandi, New Anarkali. A young man was lying dead on the Lytton Road. Police said the deceased appeared to be a drug addict. Police removed the body to morgue.
