HIGH Speed winds taking the shape of dust storms swept through the City on Tuesday after a hot day.

The same is in store for Thursday. The mercury rose to 43C while the minimum too inched towards 30C. A seasonal low is over north Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending southeastwards. It is being anticipated that it would have an effect on the City weather. However, skies remained clear all day long. No rain was recorded in the City; however, Sibbi received 19 mm, Rawalakot 16 mm, Barkhan 4 mm and Murree 3 mm of rain. In the next 24 hours, dust-thunderstorms/light rains are likely in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Khyber Pukhtunkhawa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
