The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the deputy attorney general of the FIA immigration and other authorities on a petition of a woman seeking nationality for her Indian spouse.
Sadia Mansoor submitted that she married Mansoor Ali Mohammad Memon in July 2006 but she came back to Pakistan alone to look after her ailing mother. She said she had two daughters, who were living with her, and feared that they may be deported after the expiry of their visas by November 30.
The woman submitted that she and her spouse wanted to live in Pakistan, and asked the court to direct the immigration authorities to complete the process to grant citizenship to her spouse. The court told the respondents to file comments by December 1.

School fee rise
The Sindh High Court has restrained a private school’s management from expelling students from the school over the non-payment of increased fees. Imran Maqbool said her two daughters were studying in the private school and they were regularly paying the tuition fee. He submitted that suddenly the school increased the tuition fee in violation of the Sindh Private Education Institution (regulation and control) Ordinance.
