‘Women playing vital role in all fields of life’

Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister Sharmila Faruqui chaired a meeting with the 14 newly appointed assistant curators and field Officers by the Sindh Public Service Commission in the Culture, Tourism & Antiquities Department, Government of Sindh, in her office on Monday.
The officers include Ghayoor Abbas, Saima, Zaheer Ahmed, Kelash Kumar, Ruhail Ameen, Sindhu, Babra Sheikh, Koshalya Bai, Khair Muhammad, Aamir Ahmed, Mohsin, Fozia, Ihsan Ali and Umam Rashid.
Faruqui congratulates the officials on their selection on merit and welcomed them to the department. She hoped for their promising career. She expressed her pleasure over the selection of six women among the 14 officers’ batch. She said it had been proved that women were playing their vital role well in all fields of life in Pakistan. There are so many opportunities for all courageous women to come forward and play their role for the betterment of society, she added.
She ordered the authorities to provide all basic facilities to these officers in their offices and utilise this young talent in the ongoing projects of the culture, tourism and antiquities department. She added that as the young officers had to steer the department in the future, their proper training and guidance was highly needed. The meeting was attended by Special Secretary Abdul Kareem Solangi, Additional Secretary Bashir Ahmed Brohi, and Director Archeology Sindh Qasim Ali Qasim.
