A court on Thursday issued the black warrant for a death row prisoner, Rashid, son of Nazeer, to hang him on October 14 in Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore.
Rashid was convicted of murder and was shifted to Kot Lakhpat because he was deemed too dangerous to be kept in Central Jail Karachi.
The authorities of Central Jail Karachi moved an application to the Additional District and Sessions Judge Central Zeeshan Akhtar Khan, the court ordered his execution on October 14.
Rashid was tried for murder under murder case (FIR no 65/2000) registered at the Gulberg police station under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. He was awarded the death sentence and was kept at the Central Jail Karachi.

Man jailed
In a case of possession of illegal arms, Additional District and Sessions Judge Central, Manzoor Ali Khamisani, awarded five-years imprisonment to a Rehmatullah Malik and imposed a fine of Rs10,000.
He had been arrested by the Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police for being in possession of an unlicensed pistol and some cartridges.
