A major fire broke out at a local dyeing factory situated in the SITE area on Sunday.
At least 10 fire engines provided by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation were used to put the fire out. The main entrance to the factory and a wall had to be demolished in order for the fire fighters to enter the building. It took the fire tenders over two hours to put the flames out in more than two hours.
According to the central fire station, the fire broke out at about 12:55 pm in the Madina dyeing factory near Rasheedabad; however, the officials failed to ascertain the cause of the fire.
