Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui on Tuesday said a joint committee had been formed with officials of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) to investigate water theft in the metropolis, and it would take up the task from October 16.
Voicing concern over rumours of rampant corruption affecting the city's water distribution system, the commissioner stressed that concentrated efforts would be taken to curb all such activities.

Offal disposal
In a letter sent to all district municipal corporation (DMC) administrators, Siddiqui urged the officials to ensure effective offal disposal operations during Eid-ul-Azha, particularly in areas around the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases and the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport.
