Sindh Food Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Monday directed the concerned officials to finalise the proposed legislative bill needed to constitute the Sindh Food Authority.
Wassan claimed the proposed authority would ensure that people of Sindh were provided the best quality food in accordance with the standards set by the World Health Organization and World Food Programme.
Presiding over his department’s meeting, the food minister said the bill should be completed in time for it to be tabled in the Sindh Assembly’s next session.
He observed that Sindh should form a body of its own similar to the one in Punjab.
