The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday took notice of the contemptuous remarks made by the manager of provincial hepatitis control and prevention program in his counter affidavit filed on the lawsuit of pharmaceutical firm pertaining to tender proceedings for Hepatitis B and C vaccines.
The court directed additional advocate general of Sindh to appear and explain his position.
The plaintiff, Getz Pharma, had filed a lawsuit against the Sindh government, manager of the hepatitis control and prevention program and others for committing irregularities in the tender process for purchasing Hepatitis B and C vaccines.
The court observed that the Sindh government and the program manager of hepatitis control and prevention program had filed an application for an urgent hearing, besides an affidavit in support of their application. The court observed that perusal of affidavit filed in the application appeared to contain derogatory language. The program manager Abdul Khaliq submitted that content of the affidavit was not in his knowledge and a particular paragraph 7 had not been typed in his instructions.
