President Mamnoon Hussain said on Tuesday imparting quality education and training to the younger generation was the need of the hour.
He was talking to a delegation of the Kiran and Akhuwat Foundation at the State Guest House where students hailing from Lyari were also present.
“We desire that the best possible educational facilities should be made available to the younger generation in order to hone their abilities and the government is sincerely utilising all available resources to serve the purpose,” the president said.
He urged the students to learn the history of Pakistan and the subcontinent to become educated and dutiful citizens of the country. “It is our responsibility to provide the younger generation with a better environment for education and work,” he said.
The president also said that a committee was working to restructure the curriculum and its recommendations would come to the fore soon.
