Nine students and four faculty members of the Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) would go to the UK on June 5 under the Future Leaders Programme, a varsity official said on Friday.
The SMIU has become the first public sector university in Pakistan that is sending its students and faculty members to the UK in collaboration with the British Council. In a meeting with the parents of the selected students, SMIU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh said the university had signed a MoU with the BCP for various learning and training programmes for its students and faculty members.
