Three ‘TTP men’ killed in raids

Several suspects were arrested while three members of a banned terrorist outfit were allegeldy killed during raids conducted by Rangers and police personnel on Monday.
Seven men, including a suspected target killer, were arrested in raids conducted in areas near University Road and Lyari, informed a spokesman for the Sindh Rangers.
According to an intelligence report regarding a group of terrorists hiding in Surjani Town, the Rangers personnel conducted a targeted operation in which three terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed, while a member of the paramilitary force suffered injuries.
A pistol, two sub-machine guns (SMGs), a suicidal jacket and other ammunitions were claimed to have been recovered from their possession.
Further investigations are underway.
Over 40 suspects were arrested in a search operation of the city Police carried out in collaboration with Rangers personnel in Al-Falah Society, Malir whereas a large quantity of narcotics and weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Two notorious dacoits, Nasir accused of killing a Sunni Tehreek worker, Irfan, and setting a yellow cab on fire in Shah Faisal Colony in, 2003 - and Habibullah - a proclaimed offender in four cases of Shah Faisal Colony including seven registered under the anti-terrorism act (ATA) - were also among the arrested.
Further investigations are underway.

Tailor shot dead
A tailor was gunned down at his shop in Liaquatabad by some unknown assailant on Monday.
According to police, Arshad Hussain, 30, a tailor by profession, was busy in work at his shop in C-1 area when an armed man entered and shot him several times. The assailants fled the scene after the attack.
The deceased was rushed to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital in critical condition by the neighbourhood shopkeepers where he succumbed to bullet wounds during the treatment.
SHO Super Market police, when contacted, said they were investigating the incident but suspected that personal enmity could be the most possible motive behind the killing.

Five die in accidents
At least five people were killed in separate incidents on Monday.
Hamza, 18, was knocked down to death by a speeding vehicle near the Babar Market in Landhi while he was going on a motorcycle.
Another motorcyclist, 30-year-old Hazoor Bukhsh, was killed on the spot when a carelessly driven vehicle hit his motorcycle in Lyari.
Haris, 20, was knocked down to death when a speeding car rammed into his motorcycle near Baloch Colony Bridge.
An unidentified, 35-year-old man was killed when a recklessly-driven vehicle ran him over at the National Highway while he was going on a motorcycle.
Amina Bibi, 35, died when part of the roof of her Naval Colony residence fall while she was sleeping
